Empowerment
From Joshua 4:23-24 (The Message version):
“Yes, God, your God, dried up the Jordan’s waters for you until you had crossed, just as God, your God, did at the Red Sea, which had dried up before us until we had crossed. This was so that everybody on earth would recognize how strong God’s rescuing hand is and so that you would hold God in solemn reverence always.”
Living to the fullest!
What are you doing to stay mentally active? Are you challenging negative thoughts with a focus on gratitude?
We are active in our physical health. Lately we have reminded ourselves to also be active in our mental health through daily encouragement from scripture. We are challenging our daily meditation to be focused on an old acronym: ACTS. A=adoration, C=confession, T=thanksgiving and S=supplication.
This is an empowering part of daily meditation. Through this complete engagement empowerment happens! These few minutes each day of mindful meditation on scripture acknowledge the mighty power of God and release the day to Him. It goes something like this:
Lord I adore you, you are the great I AM.
Father God, I confess that in my weakness I doubt your ability to take care of all things. Often, I want to interfere and intervene in my own way. Thank you for the many blessings of each day, for the manner that you provide; there is and has been more than enough. Please take care of the neighbors, K, S, A, K, C, D, D and family as they travel, protect and guide the family, nuclear and extended. And so it goes…
Start each day with a quick few moments and the empowerment of intentional prayer and scripture, leaning into the almighty power of God. The almighty power that is always there! A great reminder of eternity!
4832 Ponderings… How do your days start? How could giving your day to the Almighty God make a difference for you?
