New Learning

Do you remember that feeling that comes when you are about to learn something new like a job, skill, language, musical instrument, software program, or parenting? When you set out to learn, how do you do it? Take a class? Read the instruction manual? Learn from someone else? Just wing it? Initially, the new information may be hard to understand.

One way to approach the new material is to make a plan (you decide how detailed to make it). Decide how, when, and where you are going to learn. Determine what resources you need (see those listed in the paragraph above). Give yourself a blueprint or road map for learning. Then, determine your course of action and take action!

One of the blessings we receive from God is the freedom to make many of the choices about our lives. He will be there for us in every circumstance, place of employment, family situation, or unexpected hard time. He gives us freedom but never abandons us.

Learning new things can be challenging and scary. One of the greatest resources we have is the confidence that comes in knowing that God is with us providing guidance, power, and resources. He also brings people alongside us that can teach, demonstrate, or do for us what we are unable to do for ourselves. All are a gift from God!

God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
