Surviving Cries of WHHYYYYYY ....
Yesterday I learned of two sets of parents that have gone through tragic losses of adult children. One from murder, one from depression. I also just lost a brother to cancer. That is not the way we expect life to go, our loved ones dying before us. There are no simple answers that restore those losses, even for people of faith. Losses that can never be replaced or restored .... losses of the heart, soul and mind.
Some say "you will move on" or "God never gives you more than you can handle" or ...... I don't know about those answers if they're really answers at all. I do know that even Jesus asked if it was possible to take this "cup" from me ..... that "cup" of suffering and pain. Maybe we are to look at His example at times when answers are just not there and may never be there.

The Bible tells us In John 11:35 that "Jesus wept." He didn't simply shed a tear. He wept. I also know what it says in 1 Peter 3:8: "Finally, all of you, be like -minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble."
The Echoing Whyyyy's are simply from the depth of love we had and still have for the ones we can no longer hug, laugh with, cry with or look into their eyes now. The questions of why ... are not new to God. If you are grieving--no matter if the loss is recent or some time ago--it is okay to say so outloud. God can handle the anger, the pain and the void caused by loss. Sometimes we try to interpret God's love for us in ways we know love, but His love and His power are so much greater than we can possibly comprehend that even in our suffering, we can rest safely in His arms, knowing that His ways are beyond ours.

You have expressed the honest feelings and how they impact daily life so very well. Loss and love seem to live together, even in Jesus' example. Thank you.
