Humility in dealing with others

In our relationships with others (whether in agreement or disagreement) do we approach in humility realizing that we all have flaws. Our society tends to teach never show weakness and some teach be the "Alpha in relationships", (the dominant personality/leader). Is that what Jesus portrayed?
